Kitchen Cook

We are looking for an experienced, passionate cook to join our growing kitchen team. The cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals for our customers by following recipes and presentation standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Prepare food items according to recipes and kitchen procedures
  • Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
  • Adhere to food safety rules and guidelines at all times
  • Maintain organization, cleanliness and proper sanitation in the kitchen
  • Ensure all ingredients and cooking equipment are adequately prepped and stocked
  • Communicate with managers and servers regarding menu questions, timing, allergies etc.
  • Assist with ingredient and supply inventory and restocking
  • Maintain excellent standards of food presentation and quality
  • Be able to work quickly and efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Requirements:

  • 3+ years experience as a cook in a professional kitchen
  • Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
  • Excellent knife skills and manual dexterity
  • Able to follow recipes, weigh and measure ingredients precisely
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to adhere to health and safety regulations in a commercial kitchen
  • Willing to work evenings, weekends and holidays as required
  • Passion for food preparation and eagerness to learn
